First night together- never again

September 1, 2015 2 Comments

First night sleep over 1 August 2015

First night sleeping in the caravan- never again!IMG_3352

Never again will there be a first night, and certainly never will there be another night like Saturday

I was so cold I had to put the hottie around my head.

The front door did not lock.

The old sleeping bag had a lumpy pillow

The blanket kept slipping off.

I kept the skylight open because I was afraid of being gassed, but the gas was not working because it had run out but I did not know that.

I had not vacuumed behind the bed so there were little dead insects and small black bits like mouse droppings.

  1. What I found out later

1.The front door does lock- you just turn the key the other way on the outside.

2.The electricity was working but I did not use the right switch.

3.You can get carbon monoxide alarms, to alert you and therefore prevent hypothermia induced by open windows in mid winter

  1. You can get lovely new pillows at the Cambridge Hospice shop for $7 each.
  2. The bed actually opens out to a luxurious queen size.
  3. You can plug in a little oil heater, if you switch on the power first. Then you can have a nice cup of tea and get over it.
