There is a blue Honda CRV parked by mine at work. One of my teachers is returning to England.
‘Is that your car,’ I ask her?’
‘Yes, Do you want to buy it?’
So after a test run, an AA check , and a leap of faith, I say yes.

My regular Trade Me alerts me to a caravan in our specifications.
’This could be the day, There might just be a red caravan today.’
Why red? To avoid the universal beige and autumn tonings of so many caravans- bland and boring- I love colour, especially red. When you are in a tiny space you need colour and design to make you smile.
I open up Trade Me- and here it is- a tiny Compass Lynx caravan, the right price, in Rotorua,
AND with red benches, retro floral curtains and cool green cushions. Perfect.
Danielle drove to Rotorua the next day, inspected it with the owners, Maggie and Peter, and rang me..
‘It’s gorgeous, I love it.’
